  6. Version 4.0 of GHelpDeluxe.

  8. Description:-

  10. A small suite of two programs which provides instant access to all Amigaguide, ReadMe and Doc files
  11. at the touch of a hotkey. Also provides a progressive search facility of all documents.
  12.  
  13. With the addition of a utility such as IDer (or indeed AACD prefs) it can be used to catalogue and
  14. view all filetypes for which a viewer exists (but that's accidental :o)
  15.  
  16. V4.0 will probably be the last version of GHelp, since I've taken it about as far as it can go. If any
  17. bugs are reported, I will fix them. But from here on it's likely to be maintenance updates only,
  18. unless anyone comes up with a really good suggestion

  22. -    Eliminated Searchguide support. I have, instead, now included my own routine which will search
  23.     down to node level in AmigaGuide documents, and present the results in an Amigaguide doc,
  24.     including links to the matched nodes and a brief "In context" quote. Unlike SearchGuide, my
  25.     version fully supports AmigaDOS pattern matching. GHelp also repairs most links within the quoted
  26.     lines enabling them to be accessed directly from the results page.
  27. -    Fixed a most elusive bug in index generation which caused GHelp to hang. This has also allowed
  28.     further code optimisations.
  29. -    Added full AmigaDOS pattern matching to keyword searching.
  30. -    Added full AmigaDOS pattern matching to index generation.
  31. -    Guidelist now supports multiple selection, allowing a restricted search of the Amigaguide
  32.     database.
  33. -    New tooltype "SHOWSFX" - extended to filter guide/doc/readme suffixes, all suffixes, or show all
  34.     suffixes.
  35. -    Now supports multiple config files.
  36. -    Index loading from anywhere on the gui.
  37. -    Added a remove button to remove files from the guidelist without deleting the file itself.
  38. -    Further internal optimisations to the code.
  39. -    The last search term is now stored in, and retrieved from the config file.
  40. -    Finally solved the problem of the Index generation page not being re-sizable, by changing one of
  41.     the mui classes.
  42. -     Considerably improved index/guide management
  43. -    Since one of my other utilities was recently hacked and infected with a virus, GHelp now checks
  44.     itself for signs of tampering. If it appears that either GHelp or GHelpGUI have been tampered
  45.     with then you will be notified and the program will exit. If this does happen, please contact
  46.     Me immediately. YOU SHOULD ALSO RUN A VIRUS CHECKER IMMEDIATELY.
